The true and untold story of prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac Shakur (Demetrius Shipp Jr.), from his early days in New York to his status as one of the world’s most recognized and influential voices. Against all odds, Shakur’s raw talent, powerful lyrics and revolutionary mindset establish him as a cultural icon whose legacy continues to grow long after his death.
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, where he died from his injuries six days later
It’s been 20 years since Tupac’s (born, Lesane Parish Crooks) death, and I think myself and almost the entire world can agree on one thing, that it’s been a long time coming for a PAC biopic! Aside from the great news of the release, the only let down for me, would be that his death still remains a mystery!
Now… let’s introduce you to the man who will be portraying the legendary icon, in this EPIC… MUST SEE FILM OF THE YEAR!
Demetrius Shipp Jr. (born November 20, 1988) is an American actor who portrays the late Tupac Shakur in the 2017 biopic “All Eyez On Me“, which is set to appear in theatres on his [2PAC] birthday! He stars alongside Jamal Woolard, who also played The Notorious B.I.G. in the 2009 film Notorious.

The striking resemblance between the late Tupac Shakur and the young actor, is “borderline scary”, stated KRRL and IHeartMedia radio host “BIG BOY”, during an interview with Shipp.
Before getting the role, Shipp talks about how his best friend Herm, who found out about the auditions, pushed him to try it out due to the obvious fact of his amazing resemblance to the late icon. He stated that he literally waited 30 minutes before the deadline, to actually audition for the role of Tupac Shakur, and the rest is history.
Here’s a few questions he [Shipp Jr.] was asked during the interview:
— Big Boy:
“Did you ever want to get into acting?”
— Shipp: “I never aspired to be an actor.”
— “What did you do to study PAC?”
— Shipp: ” Everyday I studied PAC… I woke up to PAC… I went to sleep to it!”
[In studying PAC, Shipp tells radio hosts that he truly has a personal connection with Tupac and, that there’s a lot of things that would surprise us about 2PAC as a person.]
Female radio host:
— “Do you find any similarities within yourself and PAC?”
— Shipp: “Yes… that’s what became trippy!”
— “Did you get to meet Afeni before she passed?”
— Shipp: “No I didn’t.”
He goes on to say that he definitely will continue acting as a career, and that he has a few auditions lined up for himself!
So now, we sit in high anticipation as the days countdown, — until the entire country is lined up for blocks, outside movie theaters in every city (some with their bandannas on, and possibly the phrase “THUG LIFE” tatted on their stomachs lol), waiting to grab their Zuzu’s and WamWam’s (popcorn, nachos, snacks, etc
